Day 1: Vienna
Upon arrival, reception by your personal guide and transfer from the airport to the hotel. On your first day in the Austrian capital an extraordinary panoramic tour awaits you: You will get to know the city of Vienna in a traditional Fiaker, a typical horse-drawn carriage. This is the best way to go back to old Vienna. Get to know the Hofburg Palace, the former political center of the Habsburg Empire, which today still bears culture and history in every corner. Also stroll through the gardens of Schönbrunn Palace, one of the most beautiful baroque buildings in Europe.
Day 2: Vienna - Melk - Linz – Salzburg
Departing from Vienna continues the journey through the Wachau Valley, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its natural beauty. It is well known for its lush vineyards, fortified churches and legendary castles. The most important attraction in this area is the monumental Melk Abbey, a Benedictine abbey founded in the 11th century. Continue your trip to Salzburg. On the way have a brief stop to visit Linz.
Day 3: Salzburg - Lake District – Salzburg
Today discover the city of Mozart and learn about the birthplace of the famous composer. Salzburg is unique, it is a harmonious interplay between landscape and architecture, art and culture, as well as tradition and modernity. Enjoy a tour of the historic center which seems dominated by churche spires, its medieval fortresses and, above all, the great Fortress Hohensalzburg. In the afternoon travel to the beautiful Lake District. Enjoy a cable car ride to the top of Mount Zwölferhorn for a wonderful view over Lake Wolfgangsee. Return to Salzburg. If you wish, we can organize a gala dinner accompanied by live classical music just for you (not included).
Day 4: Salzburg - Berchtesgaden - Garmisch-Partenkirchen
Your journey continues against the backdrop of the Bavarian Alps with its snow-capped peaks, fertile valleys and magnificent panoramic views. In Berchtesgaden there is the possibility to visit the Eagle's Nest in Obersalzberg. Our final destination is Garmisch Partenkirchen, capital of winter sports and the Olympic games. You will spend the night at the hotel Schloss Elmau *****, idyllically located in the middle of the Alps.
Day 5: Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Neuschwanstein - Munich
In the morning visit the Neuschwanstein Castle. The most famous castle in Germany was built by Louis II, known as the mad king for his strong personality and eccentricities. In the afternoon travel to Munich, the capital of Bavaria and the headquarters of the BMW car brand.
Day 6: Munich
In the morning, visit the city´s famous Marienplatz square. It is the seat of the elegant city hall which is famous for its carillon that resounds every day at 11 and 12 o'clock. You will also visit the cathedral of Our Lady and the Viktualienmarkt food market, an authentic pleasure for all the senses. At the Viktualienmarkt you will find everything from the most genuinely Bavarian to the most exotic products. There is also the elegant avenue "Maximilianstrasse" with its many boutiques of renowned international brands which invites you to stroll through. In the evening we suggest to visit the Olympic tower and dine in its excellent restaurant "181" which offers a spectacular view over the entire city and the Alps.
Day 7: Munich - OUTLETCITY Metzingen - Baden-Baden
Travel to OUTLETCITY Metzingen and enjoy a fantastic day of luxurious shopping. VIP service or advice from a personal shopping assistant is included. Be inspired by more than 70 premium and luxury brands and your personal assistants advice. Then travel to Baden-Baden.
Day 8: Baden-Baden – Baiersbronn (Black Forest) - Baden-Baden
Today you will visit Baden-Baden, the former summer residence of the European high nobility. It is also world famous for its elegant hydrothermal station and its casino. In the afternoon a true gourmet paradise in Baiersbronn, in the heart of Germany, waits for you. It is Germany's gourmet paradise par excellence, thanks to its internationally renowned restaurants combining eight Michelin stars.
Day 9: Baden-Baden - Vogtsbauernhof - Triberg Falls - Zurich
Today you will go deeper into the Black Forest. Stop at the fascinating open-air museum “Vogtsbauernhof”, where the history and culture of the Black Forest come alive. Continue to Triberg. The small town awaits you with the largest cuckoo clock in the world as well as the highest waterfalls in Germany. Continue your journey to Zurich.
Day 10: Zurich – Jungfraujoch or Schilthorn - Interlaken
After breakfast travel to Interlaken. To have an unforgettable view, you can choose between the ascend up to Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe, which is with 3,454 meter the highest railway station in Europe with ice and guaranteed snow all year - or if you prefer you can go up to Piz Gloria (Schilthorn) to enter the world of James Bond. The views of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau mountains are spectacular.
Day 11: Interlaken - Lucerne - St. Moritz
Lucerne, your next destination, is a city set against an impressive alpine panorama on the shores of Lake Lucerne. Along with your guide, take a tour of the city's most important sites, such as its medieval bridge “Kapellbrücke”, one of the oldest wooden roofed bridges in Europe. Continuation to St. Moritz.
Day 12: St. Moritz - Glacier Express (Excellence Class) - Zermatt
In the morning departure with the famous Glacier Express in the "Excellence Class". A train journey through the Swiss Alps has never been so luxurious. Window seat, magnificent panoramic view and a 5-course menu with a selection of regional wines is included. The Glacier Bar is the perfect place for a snack or a delicious cocktail. During the whole trip a Concierge will attend you.
Day 13: Zermatt - Gornergrat – Zermatt
As cars are not allowed in Zermatt, the town has managed to maintain its original character. Today you will take the funicular up the Gornergrat mountain. At 3,089 meters high, the views of the Matterhorn and the Swiss Alps are extraordinary.
Day 14: Zermatt - Glacier 3000 – Montreux
Today you will take an excursion to the mountains of Glacier 3000. Here you will find an impressive suspension bridge connecting two summits: the Peak Walk by Tissot. From there you can see the mountains Matterhorn, Mont Blanc, Eiger, Mönch and the Jungfrau - simply spectacular!
Day 15: Montreux - Gruyéres - Broc - Montreux
The charming town of Montreux is located on the shores of Lake Geneva. Enjoy a boat trip overlooking the Alps and the Lavaux vineyard region. Then a visit to the idyllic villages of Gruyères and Broc awaits you. In Gruyéres is produced one of the most appreciated cheeses in Switzerland, and in Broc one of the most exquisite chocolates in the world.
Day 16: Montreux - Geneva
Before you fly home, breathe the international spirit of the city of Geneva. Get to know its beautiful parks along the lake and the European headquarters of the UN. And if you like a last afternoon of exclusive shopping: here you will find prestigious watches such as Cartier, Patek Philippe and Rolex, jewelry and clothing from brands such as Gucci, Versace and Louis Vuitton.
