Day 1: Hamburg

Welcome to Hamburg, Germany! Hamburg is a hanseatic city in the north of Germany. After arrival pick-up your rental car and drive to your hotel in Hamburg. The rest of the day is at your leisure. If you like visit the Miniatur Wunderland (optional).

Day 2: Hamburg - Laboe - Timmendorf

After breakfast start your tour by driving to Laboe to visit U995, a German submarine which formed part of the Kriegsmarine. Go inside the sub, explore and visit the memorial. Continue to Timmendorfer Strand.  In the afternoon learn about the faith of MS Cap Arcona, Thielbeck and Athen. Overnight stay in Timmendorf.

Day 3: Timmendorf - Prora

Today travel from Timmendorf to Prora and explore a 4.5 km long building. Was this building the first and biggest holiday resort in the making? Explore Hitler's monumental building "Strengths through Joy" which could have accommodated 20.000 at a time.

Day 4: Prora - Peenemünde - Berlin

Discover the cradle of space flight in Peenemünde, showcasing the research facility of the V1 and V2 rocket. Explore the historical museum, see the original rockets from the past and discover U461 before you continue your journey to Berlin, the capital of Germany.

Day 5: Berlin

After breakfast enjoy the morning at your leisure. In the afternoon get ready for a guided tour about the last hours of the Third Reich and the Bunkers within the city centre (approx. 4 hours).

Day 6: Berlin

An early start to a guided-tour to learn and see first-hand about the second largest tank-battle in the world. The fight for Berlin in his original settings will be showcased while listening to stories from the past. Learn about the tactics on the battle field in this "Clash of the Titans".

Day 7: Berlin

Enjoy your day in Berlin at your own leisure. You may want to discover the nearby Sanssouci Palace, Cecilienhof Palace, The Soviet War Memorial or go on another bunker tour in Wuensdorf, where the Supreme High Command of the German Army was stationed (optional).

Day 8: Berlin - Dresden

Continue to Dresden, Saxony's capital. In the afternoon embark on a city tour (approx. 2.5 hours). Enjoy the rest of the day in the beautiful city of Dresden.

Day 9: Dresden

Be excited as today you will be guided by a studied art historian and history expert (approx. 2 hours). Get facts and local insider information about Dresden - one of the most beautiful and cultural cities in Europe. Learn about the insanity in February 1945 and ask your guide questions you may have. The rest of the day is at your leisure. You may wish to discover the nearby Königstein Fortress, Pillnitz Castle or Moritzburg Castle (optional).

Day 10: Dresden - Weimar

Travel from Dresden to Weimar. Take the tour to see the exhibit "Bauhaus and National Socialism". For the rest of the day feel free to explore the city of Goethe and Schiller at your own leisure.

Day 11: Weimar - Geisa

Early start to visit Buchenwald where a Nazi concentration camp was established on Ettersberg Hill near Weimar in 1937 (guided tour approx. 2 hours). Witness unbelievable and true horror. Proceed to Geisa where you will spend the night.

Day 12: Geisa - Nuremberg

After breakfast visit the nearby "Point Alpha", which was a consequence of WW2 and the hottest point during the period of the Cold War. See original equipment from both sides and afterwards travel to Nuremberg. Take the route through the picturesque "Thuringian Forest". Overnight stay in Nuremberg.

Day 13: Nuremberg

Go on a guided WW2 Tour in Nuremberg (approx. 2.5 hours) to see and learn about the historical sites of the Nazi Rally Grounds, the court rooms for the trial and the town hall. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 14: Nuremberg - Munich

In the morning travel from Nuremberg to Munich. After arrival go on a WW2 discovery and learn about the role Munich played before and during WW2. See the sites where Hitler worked. Overnight stay in Munich.

Day 15: Munich - Eagle's Nest - Munich

Today visit the Kehlsteinhaus, Eagle's Nest above Berchtesgaden. Full day tour from Munich to Eagle's Nest a compound built for his 50th birthday (approx. 10 hours). Explore the underground bunker system, the diplomatic teahouse construction and learn detailed history during this guided tour.

Day 16: Munich

Your last two weeks have been full of historical insights and history brought to life in a meaningful educational tour. It has been an emotional journey during that time. Take the time today and reflect on what you learnt, saw and discovered. We recommend a local and authentic place.

Day 17: Munich

After breakfast return your car at Munich Airport where your tour ends.
