The Bernina Express runs from Chur – the oldest town in Switzerland – to Tirano in Italy. This 4-hour train journey offers stunning views of the Swiss Alps, crossing 196 bridges and 55 tunnels. The journey can be extended aboard the Bernina Express Bus from Tirano to Lugano.
UNESCO World Heritage site of the Rhaetian Railway
The approximately 122-kilometre-long Albula and Bernina Line between Thusis and Tirano is considered a true masterpiece of engineering and layout. In 2008 the Albula and Bernina Lines of Rhaetian Railway have been declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Choose between 1st class and 2nd class on the Bernina Express. 1st class offers a particularly high level of comfort, with tables of two and four and more space. 2nd class offers table for four with less space. Both classes have the same panoramic windows, which offer a spectacular view.
