Day 1: Zurich

Welcome to Zurich, Switzerland! During the Advent season, the city transforms into a magical winter wonderland, where festive lights illuminate the streets in a sparkling display of colour and atmosphere. You may wish to begin with a stroll through Zurich’s charming Christmas markets, each offering its own unique character - from the lively Christkindlimarkt at Zurich Main Station (Hauptbahnhof/HB), to the elegant Wienachtsdorf at Sechseläutenplatz near the Opera House and the atmospheric Old Town filled with historic charm and seasonal spirit. Enjoy time to explore the lakeside city at your own pace, where Christmas magic blends beautifully with Zurich’s sophisticated elegance.

Day 2: Zurich - Lucerne - Mount Pilatus - Lucerne

After breakfast, travel by train to Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most picturesque lakeside cities, beautifully set on the shores of Lake Lucerne and framed by mountains and rich in historic charm. Take a scenic ride on the panoramic gondola to Mount Pilatus, where breathtaking alpine views open up over lakes, valleys and snow-covered peaks - a moment that feels like you are floating above a world of pure mountain silence and beauty. Return to Lucerne. Stroll across the iconic Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke), the famous wooden covered bridge and enjoy the old town’s timeless atmosphere. Immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere of the Christmas market at Franziskanerplatz - a magical setting filled with twinkling lights, handcrafted decorations and the irresistible aromas of Christmas biscuits, spices, punch and mulled wine, creating a true winter wonderland for all senses.

Day 3: Lucerne - Interlaken - Jungfraujoch - Interlaken

Travel by train for Interlaken, the gateway to the Swiss Alps, surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery and pristine lakes. Upon arrival,  embark on an unforgettable journey to Jungfraujoch, the “Top of Europe” and a UNESCO World Heritage site, offering one of the most spectacular alpine experiences in Europe. A spectacular journey by cogwheel train takes you through the heart of the Swiss Alps to Jungfraujoch, the “Top of Europe”. At 3,454 metres above sea level, it is the highest railway station in Europe, offering an unforgettable alpine experience. At the summit, a year-round world of snow and ice unfolds before you, with vast glaciers, dramatic peaks and endless Alpine views stretching into the horizon, a breathtaking experience at the very heart of the Swiss Alps. Step into the magical Ice Palace, where sparkling ice sculptures and tunnels carved deep into the glacier create a surreal, otherworldly atmosphere. From the Sphinx Terrace, take in breathtaking 360° panoramic views over the Aletsch Glacier and surrounding 4,000-metre peaks. This is a place where the scale of nature becomes almost surreal and every direction reveals a new breathtaking panorama. After soaking in the extraordinary scenery and atmosphere, return by train to Interlaken to experience the festive charm of Interlaken’s Christmas market, where a glowing illuminated deer welcomes visitors at the entrance and a towering Christmas tree sparkles at its centre, creating a truly magical alpine winter atmosphere.

Day 4: Interlaken - Montreux

Today you travel to Montreux, beautifully set on the shores of Lake Geneva and framed by vineyards and the snow-capped Alps. The journey itself reveals changing landscapes of lakes, mountains and charming Swiss villages. Upon arrival, you may wish to visit the iconic Château de Chillon, one of Switzerland’s most beautiful and historic lakeside castles, set directly on the shores of Lake Geneva. In the afternoon, explore Montreux’s famous Christmas market along the lakeside promenade. As evening falls, experience the enchanting moment when Santa Claus appears in the sky above the lake, adding a touch of festive magic to this winter wonderland setting.

Day 5: Montreux - Geneva

Enjoy a peaceful morning in Montreux. Depending on your preferences, you may choose to end your tour in Geneva, return to Zurich, or continue onwards by train to any destination within Switzerland.
