3 COUNTRIES ONE LAKE – LAKE CONSTANCE CYCLE TOUR
Day 1: Zurich - Constance
Arrival at Zurich airport. Travel by train to Constance. Take the opportunity to visit the island of Mainau, wander through Constance’s old town or visit the aquariums in the Sea Life Center and go to the Archaeological Museum. Pick up your rental bike during the day.
Day 2: Constance - Überlingen, approx. 50 km
Cycle along the “Gnadensee” to the former Imperial town of Radolfzell, which is now a spa resort. From here, you cross the “Bodanrück” range of hills and encounter a very short incline. Arriving at the so-called Überlinger See, part of Lake Constance, you get rewarded with beautiful views of the lake. In the evening enjoy a stroll along Überlingen‘s pretty promenade.
Day 3: Überlingen - Lindau, approx. 60 km
From Überlingen you cycle through vine yards to Friedrichshafen. On the way you will pass the Baroque pilgrimage church of Birnau. In Meersburg, take a break to wander around the old town and its castle. In Friedrichshafen we recommend a visit to the Zeppelin museum. Continue your journey to Lindau.
Day 4: Lindau - Arbon, approx. 50 km
On your way today, you cycle to Bregenz, the capital of the Vorarlberg region of Austria. Bregenz is famous for its annual festival on the largest lake-stage in the world. Later on you reach Höchst where you soon cross the border to reach Arbon.
Day 5: Arbon - Constance, approx. 35 km
Today your tour takes you through Romanshorn which is home to Switzerland’s largest harbour on Lake Constance. Continue cycling along the shores of Lake Constance. Wander through the old town
or enjoy an ice cream at the harbour.
Day 6: Constance - Schaffhausen, approx. 50 km
Following the side of Lake Constance, you pedal to Stein am Rhein with its frescoed, medieval houses. Switching several timesbetween Germany and Switzerland youreach the canton’s capital, Schaffhausen.

Day 7: Schaffhausen - Rhine Falls- Constance / Kreuzlingen, approx. 55 km + boat trip
After breakfast, cycle to the world-famous Rhine Falls, Europe’s biggest water falls. Continue cycling up the Rhine to go back to Stein am Rhein and follow the Höri semi-peninsula. At Gaienhofen take
the ferry to the island of Reichenau. From there it’s only a few kilometers back to Constance.
Day 8: Constance - Zurich
After breakfast, take the train back to Zurich Airport.
