LUXURY SWITZERLAND
Day 1: Zurich
Upon arrival, reception by your personal guide and transfer from the airport to the hotel. Once at your hotel, enjoy a welcome cocktail. According to your wishes, you can discover “Zurich by Night”, or you can simply relax at the hotel.
Day 2: Zurich
In the morning, discover Zurich and its main monuments, as well as its beautiful old town, full of medieval houses, winding streets and city council buildings from the Zurich Renaissance that constitute the perfect scenery to enjoy the city at the beat of the times. Afterwards have a good time during a drive along the Höhenstrasse, which offers fabulous views of the Alps and Lake Zürich. If you want to go shopping, Zurich is also a shopping paradise. Your guide will advise you on the best luxury boutiques and international luxury labels on the Bahnhofstrasse. You can also visit the traditional shops in the picturesque city center. Unwind and enjoy the beauty of Zurich during a beautiful boat trip on the lake.
Day 3: Zurich - Lucerne - Interlaken
Enjoy the scenery offered on the way to Lucerne, a city set against an impressive alpine panorama on the shores of Lake Lucerne. Along with your guide, walk to the most important places in the city, such as its medieval bridge “Kapellbrücke”, one of the oldest wooden roofed bridges in Europe. Continue to Brienz to see the woodcarvers with their beautiful sculptures. Then travel to Interlaken located at the foot of Mount Jungfrau. In the evening, enjoy an unforgettable private dinner inside a cable car cabin. After the main course is served, the cable car goes up to offer spectacular views of the mountains and the sunset over the village Grindelwald.
Day 4: Interlaken – Jungfraujoch or Schilthorn - Bern
What would Switzerland be without the mountain range of the Alps? To have an unforgettable view, you can choose between a climb up to Jungfrauchjoch, “Top of Europe”, at 3,454 meters height. It is the highest railway station in Europe with guaranteed ice and snow all year round. Or if you prefer you can climb the Piz Gloria (Schilthorn) to enter the world of James Bond. Several scenes from the movie "007 On Her Majesty's Secret Service" were recorded at this location. The views of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau mountains are spectacular. Continue to Bern, a city located next to the Aare River and the capital of Switzerland.
Day 5: Bern - Gruyeres - Montreux
Get to know the small and picturesque medieval town of Gruyères, very much known for the production of Gruyère cheese, one of the most appreciated cheeses in Switzerland. Continue to the charming town of Montreux located on the shores of Lake Geneva and enjoy the view overlooking the Alps from the promenade. Visit the beautiful Chillon castle, built on a rock by the lake and one of the most visited historical buildings in Switzerland.
Day 6: Montreux - Lausanne - Geneva
Along the shores of Lake Geneva, enjoy some breathtaking views of the Lavaux vineyard terraces, declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which extend all the way to Lausanne. Tour this picturesque city, set against the breathtaking scenery of the Savoyard Alps. The journey continues to Geneva. This city is reputed to offer the best quality of life in the world along with Zurich. Enjoy a tour to see the beautiful parks along the lake and the European headquarters of the UN. On the street “Rue du Rhone” there are exclusive boutiques like pearls on a necklace. Here you can find prestigious watches such as Cartier, Patek Philippe and Rolex, jewelry and clothing from brands such as Gucci, Versace and Louis Vuitton.
Day 7: Geneva - Zermatt
Continue to Zermatt, probably the most famous alpine village in Switzerland, you travel up the Rodano river valley as far as Täsch. From here continue by narrow gauge train to Zermatt, nestled at the foot of mighty Mount Matterhorn. The picturesque town center is car-free and still preserves its original charm.
Day 8: Zermatt - Gornergrat - Lugano
Today enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views offered by the morning ride on the Gornergrat funicular. At 3,089 meters (10.100 ft), the views of the Matterhorn and the Swiss Alps are extraordinary and truly breathtaking. In the afternoon trip to Lugano in the Ticino region. Here the Swiss quality with “Savoir Vivre” meets the Mediterranean. Strolling along the banks of Lake Lugano, on the boardwalk and through the alleys of the city feels like being in Italy.
Day 9: Lugano - Zurich
Enjoy free time in Lugano or relax during a boat ride on Lake Lugano. On the way back to Zurich airport have a short stop in Bellinzona, famous for its impressive medieval castles.
