Day 1: Munich
Day 2: Munich
Today you have to be very excited. You are visiting the world's largest folk festival - the Munich Oktoberfest. Being the largest folk festival in the world, the Munich Oktoberfest attracts millions of people from all over the world. Your visit to the Munich Oktoberfest includes a private tour (approx. 3 hours) where you will learn about the Oktoberfest and its traditions. Dive into the Bavarian beer culture! This tour also includes a visit to the „Oide Wiesn“, which showcases the historical section of the Munich Oktoberfest. Here you can experience real Bavarian customs and see what the Oktoberfest used to be in the earlier days. Listen to the sound of brass band music and discover the historical fairground, full of rides & amusements from the early days of the Oktoberfest.
Day 3: Munich - Berchtesgaden
Departure from Munich to Berchtesgaden, a typical village of the Alps at the foot of the Watzmann mountain, is known for its salt mines and the "Königssee" (King's lake) which is famous for having the most crystal clear water in Germany, if the time allows you can take a boat trip on the lake (not included).
Day 4: Berchtesgaden - Füssen
In the morning visit the Salzbergwerk mine, then travel along the sub-alpine road until you reach Füssen, a village at the foot of the Alps. On the way stop at Lake Chiemsee, the "Bavarian Sea" and climb by cable car to the Kampenwand (1,500 m). Continue to Füssen.
Day 5: Füssen – Neunschwanstein - Rothenburg ob der Tauber
The day starts with a visit to the famous Neuschwanstein Castle, which seems to come from a fairy tale. It was built by the "Mad King" Louis II and served Walt Disney as an inspiration for the castle of the Sleeping Beauty. Then continue the trip to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, one of the most important medieval cities in Germany.
Day 6: Rothenburg ob der Tauber - Würzburg
After breakfast, visit Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a walk through this city is like a trip through past centuries; its image has not changed since the Middle Ages: with its exceptionally well-preserved halftimbered houses, its historic town hall surrounded by the extensive medieval wall. Then travel to Würzburg, a beautiful city on the banks of the Main River. Panoramic tour of the city and a visit of the Residence of Würzburg.
Day 7: Würzburg - Bamberg - Nuremberg
The trip continues to Nuremberg and on the way you will stop in Bamberg, located in the north of Bavaria, famous for its beer and its old town center (UNESCO). Upon arrival in Nuremberg visit the city with its old town, its famous Gothic churches, heritage sites and its impressive and wellpreserved castle.
Day 8: Nuremberg - Munich
In the morning, travel to Munich, the famous Bavarian capital, enjoy a panoramic tour of the city and its main attractions such as the "Marienplatz" square, Munichs geographical and social center. Afterwards transfer to the airport.
