SWITZERLAND CHEESE AND CHOCOLATE
Day 1: Geneva
Welcome to Geneva, Switzerland! Beautifully situated on the shores of Lake Geneva and surrounded by the Alps and Jura mountains, Geneva combines international flair with charming Swiss elegance. You may wish to begin your stay with a leisurely stroll along the lakeside promenade, passing the famous Jet d’Eau fountain and enjoying views across the sparkling lake towards the distant Alps. Wander through Geneva’s historic Old Town with its narrow streets, elegant squares and cafés, or simply relax and soak in the cosmopolitan atmosphere of this unique Swiss city.

Day 2: Geneva - Montreux
After breakfast, enjoy a guided walking tour through the heart of Geneva. During this 2-hour city tour, discover the international quarter, elegant streets and some of the city’s most famous landmarks, including the impressive Jet d’Eau fountain and the beautiful Flower Clock overlooking Lake Geneva. Afterwards, enjoy a traditional Swiss cheese fondue experience in a typical local restaurant, accompanied by a glass of wine, water or a soft drink. In the afternoon, continue by train along the scenic shores of Lake Geneva towards Montreux. The journey offers magnificent views across the lake, vineyards and surrounding mountains. Arrival in Montreux, one of Switzerland’s most beautiful lakeside towns, world-famous for its annual Jazz Festival and its mild Riviera-like atmosphere. Nestled between vineyards and the lake, Montreux offers a unique blend of elegance, palm-lined promenades and stunning alpine scenery.
Day 3: Montreux - Chocolate Train to Gruyère - Montreux
Today, experience one of Switzerland’s most delicious and scenic excursions aboard the famous Chocolate Train. Depart from Montreux and travel through beautiful countryside and alpine landscapes towards Montbovon before continuing by bus to the renowned “Maison du Gruyère” cheese factory. Here, learn about the production of the famous Gruyère cheese and discover the traditions behind one of Switzerland’s best-known culinary specialties. Continue to the charming medieval village of Gruyères, beautifully perched on a hilltop and surrounded by green rolling landscapes. Stroll through the picturesque cobbled streets and enjoy free time to visit the well-preserved Gruyères Castle if you wish. Later, continue to Broc and visit the legendary “Maison Cailler”, where you will discover the secrets behind Swiss chocolate making and enjoy delicious chocolate tastings along the way. Return to Montreux in the evening.
Day 4: Montreux - Interlaken - Lucerne - Golden Pass Line
After breakfast, leave behind the Swiss Riviera and board the GoldenPass panoramic train for a spectacular journey through the Swiss Alps. Travel through the magnificent landscapes of the Bernese Oberland, passing charming alpine villages, green valleys, mountain lakes and breathtaking mountain scenery. Via Zweisimmen and Interlaken, continue onwards to Lucerne. This panoramic rail journey combines alpine landscapes with authentic Swiss charm. Arrival in Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most beloved cities, beautifully situated between Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountains. With the iconic Chapel Bridge, charming Old Town and impressive peaks such as Mount Pilatus and Mount Rigi as a backdrop, Lucerne offers a unique Swiss atmosphere. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 5: Lucerne - Mount Pilatus - Zurich
Enjoy an unforgettable excursion to Mount Pilatus, Lucerne’s legendary mountain rising high above Lake Lucerne. At the top, breathtaking panoramic views unfold across the Swiss Alps, Lake Lucerne and countless mountain peaks stretching into the distance, creating a true sense of awe and freedom as you stand above the world, surrounded by silence, fresh alpine air and endless natural beauty. Afterwards, descend back to Lucerne and continue by train to Zurich, Switzerland’s vibrant lakeside city. Upon arrival, enjoy a relaxing lake cruise (approx. 1 hour) on Lake Zurich, passing elegant lakeside villas, charming waterfront scenery and beautiful views towards the distant Alps.
Day 6: Zurich
After breakfast, visit the famous Lindt Home of Chocolate in Kilchberg, home to Switzerland’s largest interactive chocolate museum. Discover the fascinating world of Swiss chocolate through engaging exhibits and multimedia experiences, learning about the journey from cocoa bean to finished chocolate. Admire the impressive chocolate fountain in the entrance hall and enjoy delicious chocolate tastings along the way.
